liaa_logo		 From June 18, 2015 “Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība „IGATE” Ltd” implemented project “Bituminous mixture production using foam bitumen and recycled asphalt” with Norway grants co-financing.
Project identification number: NOFI/LV06/AK2/4.The objective of the project is for “Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība „IGATE” Ltd” to introduce a new environmentally friendly bituminous mixture production technology, which will save the resources to be used and fuel, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the quantity of harmful emissions. Under the auspices of the project will be purchased and installed equipments, which make it possible to add recycled asphalt pavement and to manufacture the product at lower temperatures (compared with the existing hot mix technology).Norway grants and state budget co-financed 45% of the project’s eligible costs.
Project will be implemented in April 30, 2016.The project application has been approved on Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009 – 2014 programme “Green Industry Innovation” 2nd open call “Support for Introducing Green Technologies into Production”. More about Norway grants here: www.norwaygrants.org

Under the auspices of the project “Bituminous mixture production using foam bitumen and recycled asphalt” which implemented “Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība „IGATE” Ltd” with Norway grants co-financing, the Company has carried out the following activities:

  • In June, 2015 signed a trilateral agreement between Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, Ministry of Economics and “Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība „IGATE” Ltd” (agreement number NP-2015/12).
  • In June, 2015 signed agreement with equipment supplier AMMANN Italy S.p.A.
  • In July, 2015 installed billboard at the site of the project and indoor poster.
  • In August / September, 2015 come active work at the first information event organization.
  • In September, 2015 submitted request for an advance payment in Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.
  • In October, 2015 implemented information and publicity event in order to inform the general public about the progress, achievements and results of the project. Finally was a tour to the mineral materials, asphalt and pavement blocks production plant of “Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība „IGATE” Ltd”.
  • In November, 2015 made an advance payment to the supplier AMMANN Italy S.p.A. that manufactures an equipment.
  • In December, 2015 will continue to work on equipment manufacturing.
  • In January, 2016 Project Progress Report was prepared and submiited in the Latvian Investment and Development Agency. AMMANN Italy S.p.A. continues work to equipment manufacturing.
  • In February, 2016 “Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība „IGATE” Ltd” start preparation for equipment installation on the factory site. AMMANN Italy S.p.A. continues work to equipment manufacturing.
  • In March, 2016 was completed equipment manufacturing and equipment prepared for sending to “Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība „IGATE”” Ltd factory.
  • On April 29, 2016 there was a closing event of project implementing held at the venue “Igates ABR”. Employees of the company and representatives from municipality took part at the event.

Under the auspices of the project a foam bitumen production and recycled asphalt cold insertion line will be purchased and installed. The new technology is based on the production of bituminous mixtures, which make it possible to add recycled asphalt pavement and to manufacture the product at lower temperatures that reduce impact on the environment.

KPFI

Klimata pārmaiņu finanšu departaments Implementation of the Project Nr.KPFI-6/28 „”Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība „IGATE” Ltd” activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in „Glūdas bituma bāze”, Glūda parish, Jelgava district” has been accomplished in August 2012. Project was financially supported by the The Climate Change Financial Instrument. As a result of the project, bitumen storage buildings have been heat insulated and production heat supply system has been replaced. The benefit is the reduction of CO2 emissions by 296.11 tons. Monitoring of the project’s effectiveness will be carried out for the next five years. www.lvif.gov.lv

Eiropas sociālais fonds In 2011 ”Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība “IGATE”” Ltd in collaboration with the Latvian Forest Industry Federation and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry carried out training of employees under the European Social Fund activity “Support for the employees’ training in order to promote merchants’ competitiveness – support for the training organized in partnership”. Eiropas reģionālās attīsttības fonds On August 12, 2009 „Ceļu būvniecības sabiedrība “IGATE”” Ltd and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia entered into the contract Nr. L-JPR-09-0051 for the project “Introduction of the new products and technologies into asphalt production” implementation under the operational program “Entrepreneurship and innovation” sub-activity 2.1.2.2.2. „Development of the new products and technologies – support for the introduction of new products and technologies into production” framework. Project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
